A non-profit organization aims to build a contemporary Islamic culture, nurture influential scholars and preachers, and strengthen bridges of communication between civilizations through cultural interaction projects among Islamic societies. It was founded in 2024 in Istanbul.

Introduction

Culture is the backbone that represents the identity of societies and nations. By reflecting the history and experiences of countries, it represents their intellectual and human heritage. Therefore, culture is one of the foundations of the civilizations and development of countries, and it is a key reason for their existence, differences, and ongoing development.

In the movement of civilization, it is not the people, but the elites who guide the countries. These elites direct the country towards development and progress, ensuring it reaches its goals. Therefore, countries in the development process have a great need for intellectuals and elites, as only they can rescue the country from stagnation and lead it to prosperity.

Culture is considered the backbone of soft power in the concept of public diplomacy. Cultural cooperation between institutions and countries has become as important as political, economic, and military cooperation. This influence, as the name suggests, is not limited to "cultural" fields but extends to social, tourism, media, economic, and political areas as well.

The Republic of Turkey's modern approach to Islamic culture, the development of intellectual and cultural elites, strengthening relations with the Islamic world, and efforts for cultural cooperation across all areas necessitate turning this interest into a practical reality. This will support the Turkish government's noble objectives, ensuring effective and successful achievement.

From here, the idea of establishing the "Cultural Interaction Association," which aims to promote Islamic culture with a contemporary perspective and mobilize scientific efforts and human resources to support this idea, was born.
